Session Fee - $195
Sessions are 60 minutes and are available in person at the Vancouver office or by secure video, depending on availability and your preference.

Extended Health Insurance
Many extended health benefit plans provide coverage for counselling services with a Registered Clinical Counsellor. Coverage varies between insurance providers, employers, and individual plans, so we recommend confirming your specific benefits before booking.

Paying For Your Session
When you select Book a Session, you’ll be taken to Restored Perspective Counselling’s secure Jane booking portal. From there, you can view available appointments and complete the booking process directly through Jane.

Cancellations
Plans changed? Just give us some notice. At least 48 hours’ notice is required if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Cancellations or missed appointments with less notice may be charged the full session fee.
Insurance FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions about Insurance
Is counselling covered by MSP?
Private counselling with a Registered Clinical Counsellor is not covered by BC’s Medical Services Plan. Many extended health benefit plans, however, provide coverage for RCC services.
Will my extended health plan cover my sessions?
Coverage varies by insurance provider and individual plan. It’s best to contact your insurer before booking and ask specifically whether your plan covers services provided by a Registered Clinical Counsellor.
Will I receive a receipt?
Yes. A receipt can be provided after your session for submission to your extended health insurance provider.
Do I need a referral to book?
No. You can book a counselling session directly with Mika without a referral from a doctor or other healthcare provider. If you plan to use extended health benefits, it may still be worth checking whether your specific insurance plan has any referral requirements for reimbursement.
